Enlisting Commandos in a War on Cancer
Research has helped us develop better treatments, helping patients live longer. While we’re getting better at fighting the cancer, we often forget to treat the entire family.
If 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer, that means you and me will either be the patient, or we’ll be the spouse/parent/child/sibling of the patient.
And while the patient gets the chemo, s/he and their family are often left struggling to handle the emotional, financial, and logistical obstacles that come with a cancer diagnosis.
All the big cancer non-profits focus on killing the cancer. The War on Cancer Foundation is focused on eliminating the collateral damage that cancer creates, so patients and their families can focus on living with a quality of life.
